STEM School Funding Aid Program

Objective:
To provide financial assistance to deserving students from the lower-middle-class sector, ensuring equitable access to quality education.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Financial Need: Monthly household income less than PKR 50,000. Proof of financial status required (e.g., income certificate, utility bills, rent receipts).
  • Academic Performance:
    – Minimum 40% marks in the last academic year for partial aid (75% or 50% funding).
    – Minimum 70% marks for full aid (100% funding).
  • Special Categories:
    – Orphaned students.
    – Students with disabilities.
    – Children of single parents.

Types of Aid

  • 100% Funding Aid (Full Fee Waiver): Covers all tuition, lab, and miscellaneous fees for the entire academic year. Reserved for students with financial need and academic excellence (minimum 70% marks).
  • 75% Funding Aid (Partial Fee Waiver): Covers 75% of the tuition, lab, and miscellaneous fees. Awarded to students with financial need and academic performance between 40% and 69%.
  • 50% Funding Aid (Partial Fee Waiver): Covers 50% of the tuition, lab, and miscellaneous fees. Awarded to students with financial need and academic performance below 40%.

Application Process

  1. Submission of Application: Parents/Guardians to fill out the funding aid application form, available at the school office or website. Attach supporting documents (income proof, academic records, etc.).
  2. Evaluation by Committee: Applications reviewed by the dedicated Funding Aid Committee. Home visits or interviews may be conducted to verify financial need.
  3. Approval and Notification: Aid granted to a selected number of students based on evaluation. Approval is given on a yearly basis, with aid valid for two academic years.

Funding Sources

  • School Budget Allocation: 40% of the school’s annual revenue will be reserved for the funding aid program.
  • Donor Support: Donations from local businesses, alumni, and community members. Public recognition for donors through newsletters, events, and social media.
  • Events and Fundraisers: Organize charity events, bake sales, and school fairs to raise funds.
  • Government and NGO Grants: Apply for educational grants offered by local authorities or international organizations.

Conditions for Continuation of Aid

  • Academic Performance: Students must maintain at least 40% marks for partial aid or 70% for full aid.
  • Attendance: Minimum 70% attendance required throughout the academic year.
  • Discipline: Adherence to school discipline policies. Inappropriate behavior may lead to suspension or cancellation of funding.
  • Funding Renewal: Aid is valid for two academic years and subject to annual review based on academic performance, attendance, and financial need.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Quarterly Updates: Reports on fund utilization and the impact on aided students shared with donors and stakeholders.
  • Impact Stories: Highlighting successful students who benefit from the funding program.
